Client/Server Architecture

Client/Server computing has become the industry standard for high availability digital video surveillance applications. TEREO incorporates thin client/server technology to add new capabilities and best of all, it's built-in now! TEREO provides key benefits that only client/server architectures can provide, such as more efficient distributed processing, high performance, enhanced reliability, remote access and scalability for large numbers of users.

Centralized Monitoring

With your cameras now connected to your LAN, WAN or the Internet, you can now monitor multiple locations easily from one centralized location. Additional functionality is provided to capture, archive, monitor and playback camera images from any location that is connected to your camera network.

Powerful Camera Control

• Central client/server operation: All application files and configuration databases are centrally located on one server. Each application may be run from any system on the network.
• Security: Leveraging Microsoft Windows 2000 Server, you can implement your own security schema with currently available tools.
• Enhanced Automation: Add, delete or change configuration settings for one camera or a group of cameras.
• Expanded Configurations: Capture your images in color or black and white. Set image compression and size to match your requirements. Capture images at up to 30 frames per second for viewing and archive images at slower time-lapse rates.

TEREO Module Descriptions

Module	Description
vMaster	The Master Console for your network video installation. Provides centrally located functionality to access and configure your camera database and settings. All modules draw from and report back to this central application.
vCapture	Image capture engine designed with high-performance multitasking, multiprocessor use and efficient TCP/IP networking built-in. vCapture connects to and servers up images for all your cameras.
vStore	Image archiving engine that stores images based on time to your hard drive for later use and retrieval. vStore can store to your local disk subsystem or to an external NAS or SAN solution.
vMotion	vMotion is a high performance software motion detection engine. Image archiving can be set to store on motion and when used with vGuard, can alert you to motion events in real time. With region of interest, vMotion is highly flexible to detect motion of any kind.
vMonitor	View captured images on your desktop computers. Multiple stations and configurations are provided to allow you to easily handle the most demanding monitoring needs. Full control is provided for Pan/Tilt and Zoom (PTZ) cameras.
vConsole	Completely configurable viewing module that also integrates alarms, printing, instant recording, PTZ and instant playback all into one viewing experience. This application truly demonstrates what can be accomplished with computerized network video.
vSchedule	An intuitive scheduling module that controls the storage on and off time of your cameras. Working with vStore and vMotion, you now have complete control of your camera storage on and off times.
vGuard	A spooling event notification module that can notify you by digital pager or e-mail of Tereo events and alarms
vAlarm	Integrate IP based hardware sensor and relay outputs to your TEREO solution. This module is the central point for all incoming events and outgoing alarm triggers.
vPlay	View and playback your archived images from anywhere you can access your network. Printing functionality allows you to immediately print important images quickly and efficiently. An export function allows you to export one or a series of images for quick distribution.
vMovie	Used to convert and produce AVI movie files from your TEREO images. Tereo is proud to include this module as part of your purchase (was an option in previous versions).
vWeb	Your link to the outside world via your WAN or Internet connection. Specialized functionality is provided to serve up your images (outside your LAN), such as Web integration and streaming video. vWeb can also export images from your cameras for third party integration.
vWebMon	Viewing module that connects to your vWeb server to allow remote viewing and playback that is not directly connected to your local area network.
